Long weekends make me zing. Especially this past one. I forced myself to avoid work (which is very hard to do when all your work is at home with you). Instead, I found much time to play and create and read and rest. Yeah! This is what life is all about—taking it all in. Friday night at the park, Saturday lounging and cozying up with a few good reads, Sunday in the pool and enjoying one last summer barbeque and Monday for a family day at the zoo. And, I wonder why time seems to by flying. Packing as much in a day as possible.
Growing up, I always said "I want to be an artist when I grow up." Well, here I am now still wishing for the same. Child at heart, I'm giddy at the thought of dipping a new brush in a pot of paint, sniffing a fresh box of crayolas, cutting, pasting, letting the pencil flow with every beat of my heart.
This is just a glimpse of some of the things that make me zing. As I watch my daughter take note of every extraordinary detail in life, I am inspired to do the same. I hope this blog inspires you to find those things in life that make you zing...
